IN THE MATTER OF HUMAN RIGHTS

The defense of fundamental rights requires knowledge and practice of constitutional law; as well as the international bodies that exist for their defense.

Our partners constantly practice the different judicial channels that are offered for the defense of the Constitution. From the amparo trial to unconstitutionality actions. Which are strengthened with the international organisms for the defense of human rights established in the international treaties in which México participates.

Protection Trial

Either as part of strategic litigation or as a necessary mechanism for the defense of fundamental rights of a person; our firm has specialized in the representation of individuals and legal entities before the authorities of the Judicial Power of the Federation. Through it, you can combat decisions made by judicial authorities that do not respect the fundamental rights of people; as well as acts of authority, including the enactment of laws, contrary to our constitutional rights.

Unconstitutionality Action

Our firm is convinced that the strength of our democracy emanates from the balance between the powers of the union. For this reason, we favor the use of the constitutional control mechanisms established to safeguard that balance. One of them, the unconstitutionality action, allows us to review whether a general rule respects the principles established in our Political Constitution. For this reason, we help the authorities that have competence to do so, to contribute to the strengthening and purification of our legal system. In the same way, we have helped defend norms that favor human rights, which are incomprehensibly challenged in this way.

Inter-American Human Rights System

Aware of the importance of international tribunals today; our firm has a permanent presence in Washington, headquarters of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. From there and in coordination with the central offices, we have participated in the preparation of contentious cases before the Inter-American Human Rights System; the most recent being our participation in defense of El Salvador in the Manuela Case, pending final judgment.
