Doctor in International Business Taxation from the Vienna University of Economics and Business; LL.M. in International Taxation from the University of Florida and Master in Tax Law from the Universidad Panamericana. He is currently Executive Director of the Aguirre, Azuela, Chávez, Jáuregui Pro Derechos Humanos A.C. and Partner of the Law Firm Estrada, Ruiz, Segú y Asociados S.C. He is a Mexican Expert of the Observatory for Taxpayer Rights and of the Global Comments Project on the agreements to avoid double taxation, both projects of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD). He served as Coordinator of Advisors in the Council of the Federal Judiciary and as Project Secretary in the Eighteenth Collegiate Court in Administrative Matters of the First Circuit. He has been dedicated to the study of human rights since the beginning of his career under the tutelage of Dr. Eduardo Ferrer Macgregor. Later, as an advisor to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation during the Presidency of Minister Guillermo I. Ortiz Mayagoitia, he assisted in the development of projects in defense of life and human dignity. His line of doctoral research focuses on human rights applied to the fiscal field; product of which he has coordinated two books on the matter and published participations in Mexico, Austria and Netherlands.
